The Governor's Office of Workforce Development is the policy advising and implementing entity for the Governor that also serves as staff to the State Workforce Investment Board. Our role is one that promotes the Governor's visions of linking education and workforce development and aligning that linked effort with the economic development of the State, its regions and communities.

Through the expertise of a diverse base of state, regional and local workforce development partners and strong leadership from the Governor, the Office of Workforce Development will help fortify Georgia's workforce and promote healthy economic growth in all parts of the state.
