Just as the Work Ready Certificate provides individuals a means to demonstrate their skills to current and potential employers, Certified Work Ready Communities showcase their ability to provide a highly skilled workforce to companies locating in the county.

Coordinated through the Governor's Office of Workforce Development, Certified Work Ready Communities summarizes into one document the myriad qualifications of a community's workforce, providing a single source to answer questions about the adequacy of present and future workers to meet any demands that may be placed on them.

To earn the Certified Work Ready Community designation, counties must demonstrate a commitment to improving public high school graduation rates through a measurable increase, and show a specified percentage of the available and current workforce have obtained Work Ready Certificates.
