Community & Economic Development
Georgia Work Ready Regions bring together multiple counties' assets and leaders to create regional talent pools targeting energy companies to increase economic development opportunities. The Work Ready Region team is made up as follows:

1. Work Ready Regions Industry Network: an organization of business leaders from identified regional industry clusters. Communicate to Work Ready Region project team leaders short- and long-term workforce training needs and how best to leverage Work Ready to make better hiring decisions. 2. Work Ready Regions Project Leaders: business executives from the identified growth industry sector that lead Work Ready Region teams. Provide consistent and regular interface with Work Ready Region leadership teams, core teams, home teams, industry network and Governor's Office of Workforce Development to produce deliverables specified in Work Ready Region work plan. 3. Work Ready Region Project Leadership Team: three-member teams guided by the Work Ready project leader with the goal of interfacing with core teams, home teams and industry networks to implement the Work Ready work plan and produce deliverables. |
4. Work Ready Region Core Team: consists of workforce, technical colleges, economic developers and education leaders who provide support to the Work Ready project leadership team. Communicate relevant and necessary information to Work Ready project leadership team through regular conference calls, face-to-face meetings and other means with the goal of ensuring successful results. 5. Work Ready Home Team: Core team plus Certified Work Ready Community county team leaders, education, community and business leaders, and other interested partners needing updates on the progress of the Work Ready Region. Provide support, advice and suggestions to core team to ensure Work Ready Region project success. |

Entrepreneur Friendly communities
Georgia's Entrepreneur Friendly Initiative assists the state's counties in cultivating business environments that develop and encourage entrepreneurs and small businesses. By creating an entrepreneurial environment and building an entrepreneur and small business strategy into the community's overall economic development strategies, the county is supporting the growth and development of its small businesses. All counties in the East Central Georgia Energy Conduit Work Ready Region have the Entrepreneur Friendly designation.
