The state's network of technical colleges offer a variety of ways for you to improve your Work Ready skill level and develop a self-improvement plan to boost your work habits score.
Skills gap training consists of personalized, online education sessions designed to help improve your skill level and your assessment scores - and help you perform better on the job and get ahead at work.
How it works:
- When you take the Work Ready assessment, you will receive scores in each area - applied mathematics, locating information and reading for information - to determine your skill level.
- Your lowest score determines your overall Work Ready Certificate level, so focusing on your weakest area is a quick way to improve your level.
- Simply contact the Work Ready administrator at your local technical college to sign up for free gap training. The program is online and self-led and allows you to focus on the area where you need to improve.
Instructor-led gap training classes are also available for a small fee at Georgia technical colleges.
