Overview
The aerospace industry in Georgia thrives on innovative ideas, state-of-the-art technology and the collaboration of explorative minds. Georgia understands this and launched Work Ready to ensure the industry has a pipeline of the skilled workers it needs. The state is home to several leading aerospace companies, including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney and Cessna. Georgia's links to aerospace defense are also long-established through Dobbins Air Reserve Base, the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center and Hunter Army Airfield.
Economic and Workforce Outlook
The Selig Center for Economic Growth at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia, publishes an annual Economic Outlook. The 2009 edition has been released and includes an economic and workforce forecast for Georgia's aerospace industry (Download Document).
Additionally, Georgia's Aerospace Innovation Center provides workforce development, advanced technology and support for growth and relocation services.
